"Discover" Gastein's nature and mountain scenery on two wheel


Mountain bikers and cyclists are always made very welcome in Gastein. We have developed a two wheel friendly infrastructure especially for them. There are bike hire shops in Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein, as well as different tracks covering all levels of dificulty.

The Gasteiner Valley Bike Track - is very easy and family friendly: Discover the beauty of the Gasteiner Valley on the round track with children and friends.

The varied forest tracks throughout the region offer "real" mountain bikers and uphill fans with mountain top ambitions the perfect training terrain. Alm huts and alpine guest houses are waiting with refreshments, should you want to rest and enjoy the impressive panorama ore when your lost energy needs replacing.

Gasteiner Valley Bike Track 
  • Round Course on a charming side track
  • Length: 30 to 60 kilometres
  • Difference in altitude: 370 metres
  • The start is in Bockstein, (1,100 metres) tracks leads through the Gasteiner Valley to Klammstein (730 metres), where for all tour bikers there is a possible connection to the Tauern Bike Track in the Salzach Valley.
