Hiking Tips Schlossalm - Bad Hofgastein
1. Schloßalm-Round Walk – very easy walk
- Walking time: approx. 4 hours
- Difference in altitude: 450 m
- Starting and finishing points: Middle lift station Kitzstein
Easy walk - ideal for families. This walk starts at the middle lift
station of the "Kitzstein". A wide path leads in the direction of the
Bärsteinalm. Here a large beautiful path leads in a south westerly
direction. The path leads through the forest, passing the Wirthbründl
to the Gaberl hut (1.750 m). Now the path leads back to the middle
station over the Lahgang in serpentines.
2. Rockfeldalm (Hermann-Kreilinger-path) - alpine climb, good hiking equipment necessary
- Walking time: 5 hours
- Difference in altitude: 800 m
- Starting point: Mountain station Kleine Scharte, Finish: Angertal Valley Car Park
Beautiful walk with long crossings over steep slopes. Starting from the
mountain lift station of the Kleine Scharte, walk up in the direction
of the Schloßhochalm. The Hermann-Kreilinger-Steig way leads to the
Rockfeldalm (1.822m). Walk back down either to the Lafental Valley
to the car park or walk further on to the Gadaunerer Hochalmen (recommended).
3. Türchlwand – Alpine Mountain Walk, a good head for heights is needed on this walk!
- Walking time: 5 hours
- Difference in altitude: 500 m
- Starting and finishing point: Mountain lift station of the Kleine Scharte
Good strong shoes as well as a good head for heights are necessary for
this walk. The return walk is the same route as the way up. Walking
time from the lift station to the mountain top is 3 hours. From the
mountain station towards the valley station of the Hohe Scharte –
ascent over grassland – to the marked path towards the Lugkogel
(2,327m) – to the Türchlwand (2,577 m) mountain top.
