Hiking Tips Fulseck - Dorfgastein
1. Half day walk
- Walking time: Fulseck-Altörl.middle lift station: 2 hours, middle station-valley: 1 hour
- Difference in altitude: approx 1,200 m
- Starting point: Mountain lift station Fulseck 2,033 m
- Finishing point: Lift station valley car park
Take the cable car up the Fulseck (2,033 m).
“Panorama viewing point” – Binoculars with a guide to the mountain tops.
Leisurely, easy walk (very suitable for small children) from the
Fulseck in a northerly direction, passing lots of natural ponds to the
“Arltörl” (1,799m) and further on to the Heumoosalm, or the parallel
alternative the Grabnerhütte (both are open for business from June
until September) and then back to the middle station (1,470m). From
here you can either walk back down to the valley or use the cable car.
2. Walk to the energy spots
- Walking and leisure time: 3-4 hours
- Difference in altitude: 582 m
- Starting point: Fulseck mountain station 2,033 m
- Finishing point: Pilzleerpfad (wild mushroom trail)-Brandlalm
To experience that feeling of well-being and relax and to take in fresh
air we make our way to the especially chosen oscillated places (all
have been marked).

Take the cable car up the Fulseck (2,033 m).
“Panorama viewing point”. Walk from the Fulseck towards the north
passing lots of small natural ponds, to the “Arltörl” (1,799m) and
further to the Heumoosalm (open for business), along the
Pilzlehrpfand (wild mushroom trail) to the middle station (1,470m).
Walk back down to the valley from here or take the Cable Car.

3. Whole day walk
In the nature conservation areas Schuhflicker – Paarseen - Heukareck
- Walking time: 6 hours
- Difference in altitude:1,380 m
- Starting point: Fulseck Mountain Lift Station 2,033 m
- Start: Valley station car park
- Tip: Great photo safari
Fulseck 2,033 m – Arltörl: walk up the Dorfgasteiner home mountain and
the nature conservation area “Schuflicker” (2,215m). Rest at the Lake
Schuhflickersee (super place to take photos), then on further to the
ridge between the Gasteiner and the Großarltal in a northern direction,
downhill over the “hohe eck” (the high corner) until reaching the two
wonderful lakes the “Paarseen” (pair of lakes – in the upper area).
Walking on further along passing the Haseckhütte Hut (open for
business) to Loifern, or from the Paarseen in a southerly direction
downhill, to the Paulbauernhochalm – Hauserbauer – Dorfgastein.
4. Short Alm walk
- Walking time: 1.5 hours
- Difference in altitude: approx. 560 m
- Starting point: Fulseck mountain lift station 2,033 m
- Finish: Middle lift station Dorfgastein, Lift ride to the valley car park in Dorfgastein
From the Fulseck over the “Mountain Crystal downhill run” – family
downhill run goes to the Kohlerhochalm (open for business). Gentle walk
downhill to the Brandlalm and the middle station. Take the lift back or
walk back down to Dorfgastein.
